In-house welded liner
High-frequency / hot-air seamless welding — no glue joints — for a leak-proof skin that outlasts stitched or bonded tanks.
SIGMA welds PVC-coated tarpaulin fish tanks in-house — 650–900 GSM, high-frequency or hot-air seamed, no glue joints — and they go up on flat ground without concrete or excavation in a matter of hours. Round diameters from 3 to 35 m, custom rectangles, ready for tilapia, catfish, shrimp and biofloc systems.

Product Description
SIGMA Aquaculture welds PVC tarpaulin fish tanks in-house and ships them ready to assemble — no pond digging, no concrete, and a 16 m circular tank goes up by hand in about one hour.
A PVC fish tank is a galvanized-steel-framed vessel lined with factory-welded, food-grade PVC tarpaulin. Because it needs no excavation and gets a farm producing quickly, the PVC tarpaulin fish tank has become the standard vessel for biofloc culture — a biofloc tarpaulin tank holds the high water column and bottom sludge drain the method depends on.
Installation is genuinely simple: a 16 m × 1.2 m circular tank takes about one hour to erect by hand, with no machines and no welder needed. Typical round sizes run 3.8 m, 6 m, 8 m and 16 m diameter at 1.2 m height, wall height is customizable in the 1.2–1.5 m range, and the galvanized steel pipe frame is rust-proof.
The liner is high-temperature-resistant, food-grade material that is safe for fish and shrimp. Farms run PVC fish farming tanks for tilapia, shrimp, koi and catfish — for the latter see our catfish farming equipment page — indoors, outdoors, on rooftops or on rented land.
Two notes on fit. For very large excavated footprints an HDPE fish tank liner costs less per square metre but must be welded on site, whereas the PVC tank arrives factory-welded with no glue joints. And plan the air supply together with the tank — most buyers pair it with a roots blower and diffuser grid sized to the tank volume.
Advantage
Every liner is welded on SIGMA's own line before it ships, so the tank arrives as a finished, seamless skin — no on-site welding, no glue joints, and assembly by hand in hours.

System composition
High-frequency / hot-air seamless welding — no glue joints — for a leak-proof skin that outlasts stitched or bonded tanks.
Choose 650–900 GSM by budget and service life; heavy-duty 900 GSM suits commercial high-intensity use.
Bottom sludge drain, high water column and resistance to fish-waste acids — the standard vessel for biofloc fish farming.
No excavation, no concrete — installs on flat ground, rooftops or rented land, and can be dismantled and relocated.
Costs far less than a concrete or earthen pond, so the tank pays back fast.
Size, shape, GSM grade and fittings made to order — round, square or rectangular.

FAQ
It is a portable, above-ground tank built from a PVC-coated tarpaulin liner, high-frequency or hot-air welded (not glued), stretched over a galvanized steel or PVC-pipe frame.
The liner is available in 650, 700, 750 and 900 GSM grades; a higher GSM gives longer service life, with heavy-duty 900 GSM suited to commercial use.
Round, square and rectangular shapes are offered, with round-tank diameters from 3 m up to 35 m and volumes from ~8–10 m³ up to ~1,440 m³ per unit at a 1.2–1.5 m water depth.
It is affordable, installs in hours with no concrete or excavation, can sit on rooftops or rented land, and can be fitted with a bottom outlet for biofloc sludge removal — the standard vessel for biofloc, RAS nursery and intensive monoculture.
For standard biofloc fish farming a 700–750 GSM liner gives the right balance of durability and cost. Heavy-duty biofloc tarpaulin 650 GSM is the entry-grade option for nursery or short-cycle grow-out, while 900 GSM suits long-term commercial use. Biofloc tank price depends mainly on diameter, GSM grade and fittings — the cost of biofloc tank increases roughly with surface area, so a 20000 litre biofloc tank (Ø ~5 m, ~25 m³) is a common entry point for mid-scale farms. Request a quote and we will send you a size/GSM price matrix.
A 20000 litre biofloc tank typically uses a Ø 5 m round liner at 1.3 m water depth. Biofloc tarpaulin price at this size varies with GSM grade and fittings; a standard 750 GSM unit with bottom drain and aeration ports is the most common order. Biofloc tarpaulin 20000 liter price is confirmed per production batch — contact us for a current landed cost to your port.
Standard tanks use an opaque, UV-stable liner for algae control and outdoor durability; a clear PVC fish tank is possible for small display or lab units but isn't recommended for outdoor grow-out, since sunlight through a clear wall promotes algae growth. A PVC tarpaulin fish pond and a PVC aquaculture tank for fish farming are the same product — a welded liner over a frame — sized from small nursery units to large commercial ponds.
