SIGMA Aquaculture supplies aeration roots blowers for biofloc tanks, RAS and intensive ponds — positive-displacement lobe blowers that deliver a large, constant air volume for deep bottom aeration, with the matching diffuser hose and fittings.
A roots blower is a positive-displacement air blower in which a pair of precision-machined three-lobe rotors turn at the same speed in opposite directions inside an oval casing, driven by two synchronous gears. The rotors never touch, so the air stays 100% oil-free and the machine can run continuously — the properties that make the lobe roots blower the standard air source for aquaculture bottom aeration.
Compared with surface aeration, a roots air blower pushes larger air volumes deeper, aerating from the tank floor upward. As a sizing rule of thumb, roughly 3 HP serves 2,000 m² of water area and 15 HP serves about 5,000 m². Blowers pair with nano aeration tubes, and SIGMA supplies the diffuser hose and connection accessories alongside the blower so the aeration grid arrives as one matched order.
